The trip back home did not seem nearly as arduous as the trip down. It was the same length of time but the excitement of getting back home to see friends and family made it fly by. It was also pretty fun because the first leg (Grenada to San Juan) I was accompanied by two school friends, Amar and Jodi. Amar also joined me from San Juan to Chicago and I journeyed the final bit Chicago to Toronto. It's so funny the things that you miss from home when you're away in a different country. Even familiar fast food chains and department stores become exciting. In the San Juan airport, we had our first American fast food... delicious and it was so surprising that we could buy food and have it prepared for us in less then 20 minutes.
Yumm...I was lucky enough to have a longer layover in Toronto so I stayed with Colleen overnight. She has an adorable place with a perfect location right downtown. It was amazing to see her and what her new life in the big city is like. I'm hoping that I will be able to see her once more on the way back down so we can catch up on summer news..
Bestest Friends..I was met at the airport by Brett, Tom, Lauren, Mom and Dad, it was amazing to see them and SO NICE to be home.
